Obituary of Marion Louise Bouchard

Marion Louise Bouchard, 74, of Hampton Twp., our loving, compassionate, selfless, and devoted wife, mom, Mema, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on June 13, 2019 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Marion was born on September 5, 1944 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Floyd Oscar and Marie (Manikowski) Stender. Marion graduated from St. James High School and went on to continue her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.  While at a New Year's Eve party, Marion met the love of her life, Leo Bouchard. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 30, 1965 at St. James Church. Together they shared 53 wonderful years, six children, and countless memories. Marion worked at Mercy Hospital in Osteopath, at McLaren in pediatrics, on the neurological floor, and in outpatient surgery; she also worked at Dr. Griebie’s office as a Nurse. She taught Religious Education at St. Joseph for almost 10 years and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. Marion loved to cook, plan parties, and enjoyed camping with Leo and her children. Her favorite holiday was Christmas; she loved all the decorations and making sure everyone received a present. The love she had for her dogs was unmatched, always making sure they were taken care of. Those who knew Marion know of her love of her flower gardens, being able to donate to the local shelters, and above all, her children. Her husband and children were the lights of her life; she always taught them how to be a servant of God and to do kind things. She will be missed dearly, but lovingly remembered for generations to come. Marion leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Leo G. Bouchard; their children, Leo (Tina) Bouchard, Dan (Brandi) Bouchard, Jan (Nick Stavropoulos) Bouchard, Theresa (Kevin Rytter) Bouchard, Jon (Jennifer) Bouchard, and Ryan (Jenny) Bouchard. She was the loving Mema of Daniel (Cassidy), Nick (Tayler), Josh, Belle, Grady, Jacob, Audrianna, Arielle, Nicholas, Oliver, Ben, Krystal, Karmen, and Autum; great-grandmother of Lincoln and Elijah, and her sweet dog, Holly. She was the loving sister of Robert (Barbara) Stender, Betty Purtell, and Floyd (Linda) Stender. Also surviving are many in-laws, several nieces, nephews, and friends. Marion was welcomed home to heaven by her parents, Floyd Oscar and Marie (Manikowski) Stender, and her dogs, Raj and Kodi. Marion's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, June 17, 2019, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Marion at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
