Floyd Edward Burns, Sr., 69, of Bay City, our entertaining, passionate, caring, and brave husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on September 4, 2019 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. Floyd was born in Bay City on March 9, 1950, the son of the late Leo P. and Dorothy (Chalmers) Burns. Floyd graduated from Bay City Central High School, class of 1969. Floyd went on to answer the call of his country, serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, from 1969 until 1971. Many years ago, he met the former Gloria Gutchak. They reconnected later in life, fell back in love, and were united in marriage on October 4, 2012. Floyd worked as a machinist at Prestolite and then went on to retire from Thompson Bay.  Floyd will forever be remembered for his competitiveness, especially when golfing with his buddies and playing card games with his wife, Gloria.
