Obituary of Rodney Leo St. Cyr

Rodney Leo St. Cyr, 69, of Bay City, our caring, compassionate, funny, and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on May 11, 2019. Rodney was born on May 22, 1949 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Ralph St. Cyr and Beverly Khollman. After graduating high school, Rodney answered the call of his country and served during the Vietnam War, in the Army with the 101st Airborne. Upon returning from the war, Rodney met the love of his life, the former Jacqueline Dishaw. They were married on April 16, 1979, sharing over 40 years together, three children, and countless memories. Rodney worked as a counselor and therapist for drug and alcohol abuse and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Throughout life Rodney enjoyed fishing, camping, watching NASCAR, listening to folk and jazz music, and playing the guitar. He loved collecting comic books and antiques, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren – they were the light of his life. Rodney leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jacqueline; their children, Christine (Brad) Bossbach, Sarah (Ben) McFarland, and Megan Graham; grandchildren, Ethan, Wyatt, Kayleigh, Christian, Landon, Liya, Gabriel, Zachary, and Kennedy; siblings, Sue Musser, Linda Oldinski, J.R. St. Cyr, Steve St. Cyr, Bobi Cripe, and Becky Karpfinger; special friend, who was like a son, Kurt Sage, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Rodney was welcomed home to heaven by his very special grandmother, Violet Sanduskus, and his brothers, Tim and Leslie. Rodney’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 3:00 PM until the time of his 7:00 PM Celebration of Life at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
