Obituary of Delphine Gassman

Delphine Gassman, 86, of Bay City, our loving, caring, nurturing, and strong-willed mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019.  Dellie was born in Flint on September 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Maxim, and Ruth (Shaw) Legue. On April 9, 1952, Delphine was united in marriage to Ralph Gassman in Pinconning. Sadly, Ralph preceded Dellie in February of 2001.  Dellie worked as a waitress in her early years and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed reading, making dolls for the children in the hospital, arts, and crafts and loved to read the bible. She was also a former member of the Eagles Club. Always one to be taking care of others, her compassionate ways will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.  Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Anklam, Cindy Neal and friend Phill, Randy (Irene) Gassman, Dean (Gwen) Gassman, and Kevin Gassman and friend Tanya; Gloria Gassman (daughter in-law), grandchildren, Brian (Missy) Canfield, Jason (Anneliese) Tebedo, Chelsea & Tina Gassman, Amber (Phillip) Reiss, Wendell Neal, Christopher (Ashley) Neal, Anthony LeCodet, Katelyn LeCodet, Sarah (James) Pepple, and Matthew Gassman; great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Scott,& Ashley Canfield, Aiden Reiss, Zora, Grace & Zack Neal, Alexis Tebedo, and Hannah Grace, & Emily Pepple; Great great grandson Ashton. siblings, Alfred (Linda) Legue, Dale Legue, Bruce (Brenda) Legue, Bonnie (Lenoard) Terbush, Sister-in-law (Son Hi) Legue, along with many nieces and nephews. And a close family friend Paul Jones. In addition to her parents, Delli was preceded in death by her sons, Ronnie Gassman and Mark Gassman; son-in-law, Doug Anklam, granddaughter, Susan Osborne; great-grandson, Evan Chartrand; siblings, Harold, Doris, Bernice, Maxine, Myrtle, John, Charles, Louis, and sister-in-law, Sally Legue.  Private arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
