Obituary of Eleanor Yvonne Prime
Eleanor Yvonne Prime, 81, of Wisner Twp., our beloved, kind, caring, and most gracious wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region. Eleanor was born in Mt. Pleasant on July 19, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Dickerson) Roy. While walking down the road, Gale Prime happened to stumble upon the love of his life. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on August 8, 1956. Throughout life, Eleanor was known for her friendly and sweet ways. She was the matriarch of the family, who was always quick to lead by example, especially with her nurturing ways. Eleanor enjoyed reading, crocheting, and gardening – especially tending to her vegetable garden. She was an amazing cook and canner. A faithful and devoted servant of the Lord, Eleanor was a member of Wisner United Methodist Church for over 60 years, where she enjoyed bible study. Eleanor worked alongside her husband as the bookkeeper in the family business, Gale Prime Water Well Boring. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved for generations to come. Eleanor leaves to carry on her legacy, her devoted husband of 62 years, Gale Prime and three sons, Gale Randy Prime and wife, Debra, Calvin Wayne Prime and wife, Karen, and Todd William Prime, and wife Serena; grandchildren, Jason Prime (Aimee Kolesar), Shane (Tabitha) Prime, Samuel Prime, Clayton Prime, and Travis Prime; great-grandchildren, Emma and Harper; sisters-in-law, Joyce Roy, Lois Roy, Norma Roy, Phyllis (Frank) Burghy, Sandra (Henry) Cutting, Rosemary Prime, and Alta Fox; brother-in-law, Richard (Pam) Prime, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
