Obituary of Mary Jane Hart Clauss

Mary Jane Hart Clauss, 94, of Saginaw, our loving and strong mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on April 14, 2019. Mary Jane was born on September 20, 1924, in Saginaw, to the late William and Viola (Dauer) Hayes. After graduating from high school, Mary Jane worked at Dr. Bullington’s office and then retired from Dr. Blair’s office in 1986. In 1976, Mary Jane married Adam Clauss; Sadly, Adam preceded her in death on January 26, 2009. Mary Jane was a member of Faith Lutheran on Mackinaw, a past president of the American Business Women’s Association, and a longtime resident of Indiantown. She enjoyed bowling and loved to play poker, but above all her grandchildren were the lights of her life. Mary Jane will be missed dearly and lovingly remembered for generations to come. Mary Jane leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Lynn Nesgoda of Grand Blanc, Bob (Vallery) Hart of Elmira and Kristie (Rich) Sage of Chesaning; grandchildren, Julie (Ron) Melchert, Glenn (Angel) Wiederhold, Dan (Christine) Wiederhold, Jeff (Stephanie) Nesgoda, Mary Hart, Johanna Hart, Bobbi (Aaron) Barnes, Dennis (Sharon) Schaar, and Jeremy Schaar, Tammy (Donn) Barber and Richie (Jennifer) Sage; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Susan (Jerry) Eckoff; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Hayes, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jane was welcomed home to heaven by her first husband, the love of her life, Robert Hart; her granddaughter, Gwendolyn Hart; son-in-law, Robert Nesgoda, and siblings, Joyce Harris, Joan Reif, and Delbert Hayes. Mary Jane’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 10:00 AM until the time of her 2:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (Formerly Reitz-Herzberg) 1550 Midland Rd., Saginaw Twp. Pastor Mundt will officiate with private inurnment to take place in Roselawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
