Obituary of Jacqueline Buczek

Jacqueline Buczek, 84, of Bay City, our faithful, devoted, and most gracious mother and grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, April 12, 2019 at Bay City Comfort Care.  Jackie was born in Bay City on April 20, 1934, the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Filary) Ciesielski. On May 9, 1953, Jackie was united in marriage to Edward Buczek, who sadly preceded her in death on January 7, 2008. Jackie enjoyed playing bingo, canning, and cooking – her meatloaf and goulash were unmatched. At Thanksgiving, Jackie would often bake turkeys with all the trimmings and donate them to the Bay City Boys and Girls Club. She was also on the Baking Bereavement Committee for St. Boniface. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandsons – they were the lights of her life. Those who knew Jackie, know of her love of angels, her generosity, and how kind and loving she always was. She will be missed dearly, but lovingly remembered for generations to come. Jackie leaves to carry on her legacy, her son, Rick Buczek and wife, Kelly; daughter-in-law Mary Buczek; and her grandchildren, Luke, Mike, Sean, and Skyler; siblings, Mary (Harold) Chosee, Sandy (Lloyd) MacDonald, and Margie Ligney; brother-in-law, Hank Buczek, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Jackie was welcomed home to heaven by her two sons, John and Jeffrey Buczek, along with many siblings and in-laws. Jackie’s family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 9:00 AM until Jackie’s 11:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with the Rite of Committal to be held privately in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish or the Dow YMCA – Jeffrey Buczek Memorial Scholarship Fund. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
