Obituary of Kristin Chevalier

Kristin Helene (Sutter) Chevalier, 55, of Bay City, our kind, bright, happy, and loving wife, step-mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life unexpectedly on the morning of April 8, 2019. Kristin was born on August 28, 1963, in Bay City, the daughter of the late Emil D. and Eileen M. (Dumas) Sutter. Kristin graduated from Handy High School, Class of 1981. She began her journey as an insurance agent with Plum Harris Insurance, went on to Saginaw Bay Underwriters, and then back to Plum Harris Insurance for over 15 years – helping many families with insurance. While out one night, Kristin met the love of her life, Rodney Chevalier. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 9, 1999; sharing over 20 years together and countless memories. Together they owned The Tool Shed Pub & Grub in Munger for 10 years. Throughout life, Kristin enjoyed camping, traveling all over, and riding her Harley. She was truly a ray of sunshine with the biggest smile that would light up the room as soon as she walked in; she will be missed so very much. Kristin leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Rodney; step-children, Zachary Chevalier and Sarah (Jeff) Behmlander; grandchildren, Trevor Schlicker, Taylar Bodrie, and Kaleb Schabel; siblings, Paula (Allan) Dupont of Green Bay, WI, Andrea (Bob) Stewart, Mark (Evelyn) Sutter of Baltimore, MD, Gregory (Janet) Sutter, Roberta (Barb Schaaf) Sutter, and Gretchen (Rudy) Velasquez; sister-in-law, Vicki Sutter; her beloved fur babies, Duke, Lily, and Tom, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Kristin was welcomed home to heaven by her brother, Michael Sutter. Kristin’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 2:00 PM until her 7:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
