Obituary of Rosalie May Hopper
Rosalie May Hopper, 89, of Saginaw Twp., formerly of Carrollton, our caring, loving, and quick-witted mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on the evening of Friday, February 8, 2019 at Ascension - St. Mary's. Rosalie was born in Saginaw on October 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Wilson G. and Willa R. (Shivley) Brownlee. Throughout life, she was known for her feisty and joking ways. Rosie enjoyed puzzles, especially nature themed ones, and was a lover of hummingbirds. She was a woman of strong faith, who will be deeply missed, yet lovingly remembered for years to come. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, David (Denise) Mason and grandchildren, Charles Mason and Joseph Mason; sister, Bonnie Turner; brother, Darrell (Mary) Brownlee, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rosalie was welcomed home to heaven by her husband, William G. Hopper; brother, Wilson Brownlee, Jr.; sister, Marilyn Miller, and brother-in-law, Arthur Turner. Rosie's family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until Rosie's 1:30 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (formerly Reitz-Herzberg), 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot.
