Obituary of James Clifford Binder
Jim Binder, 62, of Unionville, our joyful and most kind-hearted brother, uncle, and devoted friend was born into eternal life on Thursday, October 17, 2018 at his home. Jim was born in Bay City on February 24, 1956, the son of the late Arthur and Helen (Bambach) Binder. He was employed with Michigan Sugar and for over half of his life was the owner and operator of Binder’s, a bait shop and gas station in Unionville. Jim was always there to do anything, for anyone, from any walk of life. He enjoyed building, boating, spending time outdoors, and above all, spending time with his friends and family. His presence would light up the entire room, and he will be deeply missed. Jim was like a father/brother/uncle/best friend to his nephew, Dennis Binder; Jim was always known for his kind and thoughtful ways. Jim leaves to carry on his legacy, his siblings: Dick (Betty) Binder, David (Gerry) Binder, Janet (Andy) Canepa, Joyce Berglund, Marilyn Reedy, and Berniece Binder, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved dogs, Bear and Rocky. In addition to his parents, Jim was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Ronald Binder and brother-in-law, Dean Reedy. Jim’s family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until the time of his 5:30 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of Bay County.
