Obituary of Donna Marie Boggs
Donna Marie Boggs, 85 of Bay City, our loving, caring, tough, yet nurturing, and strong-willed mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at home with the loving support of her family. Donna was born in Bay City on October 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Laurence Earl and Agnes Rose (Krause) Jacobs. While her brother was home on leave from the Marines, Donna met his friend, Reed Boggs. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 17, 1954. Donna was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Parish (St. Mary's Church) and a former member of their altar society. She worked as a secretary for the City of Bay City and was also the bookkeeper of Pat's Flowers & Gifts. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed canning and baking in her younger years. Her gravy was the best! Donna had the most beautiful soul and will be deeply missed by her family, and special neighborhood friends, whom she loved to visit with on her front porch. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four children: David (Luann) Boggs, Dennis Boggs, Deb Bowen (Tom Carson), and Diane Scholz. She was the most loving and supportive grandma of David Boggs, Jr., Eric (Karra) Boggs, Justin (Breanne) Boggs, Jeremy (Stephanie) Boggs, Ashley & Kelsey Bowen, Katelyn Barton, Taylor Scholz, Morgan Scholz (fiancee, Steven Southam), and Randy Raymond. Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her great-grandchildren, Deavon, Caleb, Chase, Austin, Gracie, David III, Madison, Mackenzie, Abby, and was looking forward to yet another great-grandchild expected in March; brother, William (Mary) Jacobs; brother-in-law, Cameron Boggs, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was welcomed home to heaven by her husband Reed, who preceded her in 1983; daughter-in-law, Leslie Boggs; son-in-law, Paul Scholz, Jr.; brother, Laurence (Vivian "Sue") Jacobs, along with many in-laws. Donna's family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Tribute Cocktail Hour at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
