Obituary of Irene Eleanor Kot
Irene Eleanor Kot, 93, of Essexville, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Irene was born in Essexville on February 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Paul and Clara (Mielens) Wispinter. She graduated from Bay City Central in 1943, attended Bay City Junior College, and went on to work as a secretary. Irene was united in marriage to Frank Kot and was the most wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. A great listener, and an even better talker, Irene was always a good friend to others and was certainly the woman you wanted on your side. She would do anything for anyone, and will forever be remembered for her generous and gracious ways. Irene enjoyed gardening, reading, and above all, enjoyed time spent with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Kevin Kot and grandson, Zachary and wife, Carrie Brunett. She was the beloved great-grandmother of Landyn and Caleb and will be deeply missed by her sister, Mable Pett, along with many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Ernie. Irene was welcomed home to heaven by her parents, husband; wonderful daughter, Kathryn Kot Brunett, and siblings, Helen (George) Belene, Pearl (Lawrence) Terry, Leona (Frank) Rogers, and Fred Wispinter.
Irene's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 11:00 AM until Irene's 1:00 PM Memorial Ceremony at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1705 Nebobish Ave., Essexville. Rev.
