Obituary of Joyce Marie Louchart
Joyce Marie Louchart, 86, of Bay City, our proud, ambitious, humorous, and sometimes stubborn mother, Gramma, sister, aunt, and friend passed peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Bay City Comfort Care. Joyce was born in Bay City on March 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Deschamp) Bickham. While on the porch one day, she happened to be noticed by the neighbor boy, James Louchart. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on February 26, 1963. Sadly, James preceded Joyce in death in July of 1988. Throughout life, Joyce was known for her wonderful cooking abilities. She was very artistically inclined and enjoyed coloring, painting, reading, Stephen King books, long walks, and traveling. Joyce was the most wonderful mom and Gramma who will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered for years to come. Joyce leaves to carry on her legacy, her two children, William Louchart (Angie) and Michelle Louchart (Matt). She was the most loving and supportive Gramma of Billy Maxey (Alisha), Ashley Moore (Will), Kody Louchart (Andrea), Tiffany Christensen, James Willett and Jeffrey Willett. Also surviving are her siblings, Bill Bickham (Peggy) and Bob Bickham (Betty), along with many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Joyce was welcomed home to heaven by her parents and her husband, along with her daughter, Dianna Maxey; siblings, Mary Palmer, June Voisine, Michael Bickham, and many in-laws. A private family ceremony will take place with burial in Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Twp. In lieu of flowers or memorial contributions, the family requests you perform a random act of kindness in memory of Joyce. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski’s, expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
