Obituary of Michael John Fournier
Michael John Fournier, 58, of Bay City, our outgoing and fun-loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his home. Mike was born in Bay City on July 19, 1960, the son of John and Joyce (Ransier) Fournier, who survive. He graduated from Garber High School with the Class of 1978 and went on to work as a machinist. Throughout life, Mike was known for his love of boating, coaching, horseshoes, and especially Florida State football. Those who knew Mike will forever remember his larger-than-life personality and involved and dedicated ways. His proudest life accomplishments were the birth of his only son, along with the wedding of his son and daughter-in-law. Mike’s memory will remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come. In addition to his parents, Mike leaves to carry on his legacy, his son, Jonathon Fournier and wife, Jessica; siblings, Laura Heffernan, Patti (Steve) Huffman, Paul (David) Fournier, Carla (Gary) Collins, along with his nieces and nephews, Bryan, Scott, Allison, Caty, Eric, Jackson, and Austin. Mike’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Mike at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Saturday, August 11, 2018, Mike will be taken to Our Lady of Peace Parish (St. Mary of the Assumption Church), 607 E. South Union St., Bay City, where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until Mike’s 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Fr. George Serour will officiate with cremation to follow.
