Obituary of Mary Wittbrodt
Mary Wittbrodt, 100, of Essexville, our hardworking and devoted mother and grandmother was born into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Mary was born in Elmira on July 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Michael and Stanislava (Dobrzelewski) Matuszak. On August 13, 1938, she was united in marriage to Otto Wittbrodt in St. Stanislaus Church. Their marriage was blessed with five children and over fifty years before Otto preceded Mary in 1989. Throughout life, Mary was known as an excellent homemaker. Her chicken dinners and apple pies were one of a kind. She also enjoyed gardening, walking, and occasional trips to the casino and bingo. She leaves to cherish her memory, her four children, Thomas (Marie) Wittbrodt, William (Carolyn) Wittbrodt, Patricia (James) Passolt, and Joseph E. Wittbrodt, along with many grand and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was welcomed home to heaven by her daughter, Janet Zielinski, along with many siblings. Mary’s family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM until Mary’s 1:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with private interment to be held in St. Patrick Cemetery. The entire family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of 2 West at Bay Medical Care Facility for their compassionate care.
