Obituary of Colleen Dolores Haines
Colleen Dolores Haines, 82, of Essexville, our caring, welcoming, and fun mother, “Grandma Grunt,” sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Colleen was born in Bay City on January 23, 1936, the daughter of the late Russell and Eileen (Gillen) Hadd. Throughout her life, Colleen worked in the health care industry. She was known for her great story telling, enjoyment of the casino, wonderful cooking abilities, generous and kind heart, and above all, her true love for her children and grandchildren. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come. Colleen leaves to cherish her memory, her six children: Colleen St. Romain, Kathleen (Paul) Raymond, Richard Haines, Robert Haines, Maureen Haines, and Thomas (Tracy) Haines. She was the loving “Grandma Grunt” of Ann Howell, Erin Howell, Eric Haines, Michael Haines, Chris Haines, Bobby Haines, Melissa Landon, Josh Newton, Adam Clark, and Thomas, Tyler, Tristan, Trinity, and Tatum Haines. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren; her siblings, Timothy Hadd, Terry Hadd, Michael Hadd, Diane (Tom) Zielinski, Sue (Ron) Gillis, Maureen (Duane) Henning, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Colleen was welcomed home to heaven by her grandson, Jeremy Robertson and siblings, Eileen, Fred, and Dennis.
