Obituary of Ardith Wilda LeMere
Ardith Wilda LeMere, 86, of Essexville, our very giving, loving, strong, and sometimes feisty mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home. Ardith was born in East Tawas on October 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Lyman and Clara (Bowden) Lee. Through her sister Audrey, she was introduced to Arthur LeMere, Jr. They dated and eloped on December 26, 1952. Sadly, Arthur preceded her in death in January 1998. Throughout life, Ardith was known to always place her family first. She was a wonderful homemaker who loved tending to her backyard, especially her flower beds. Ardith enjoyed dancing at The Carousel Bar with her husband and two best friends, Diane and Flip. She previously enjoyed crafts and was a former member of Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church. Ardith’s loving ways will live on for generations to come. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children: Arthur (Yvette) LeMere, Michael (Michelle) LeMere, and Ashley (Steven) Wood. She was the most loving and supportive grandmother of Ashley, Chelsea, Jackie, Ross, Michael Jr., Matthew, Marissa, Nathan, Amanda, and Kara. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren, Ashton, Bellami, Brice, Mya, Madyson, Aubryana, Avyonnah, Emmie, Marciela, Mandi, Xavia, Zay, Gabriel, Stran, Linkoln, Jasmine, Anthony, Aunika, Mykela, Scarlett; her sister, Vivian Freeman, along with many nieces and nephews.
