Obituary of Leonard Anthony "Lenny" Falce
Leonard Anthony Falce, 87, of Bay City, our creative, energetic, kind, and caring husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Lenny was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 6, 1930, the son of the late Salvatore and Mary (DeCaro) Falce. He attended the University of Wisconsin and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. While at an engagement party, Lenny met the former Jean Short. They fell in love and were united in marriage on March 25, 1961. Throughout life, Lenny was known for his excellent photography talents. He retired from The Bay City Times in March of 1996 after a dedicated career of service to the community. In his free time, Lenny enjoyed gardening and carpentry, especially woodworking. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jean of 57 years and their two daughters, Julie Sickles and Maria Falce. He was the papa of Sofia Fowler, Lauren Sickles, Nicolas Sickles, and Casee Falce. Lenny is also survived by his two sisters, Lucille Monge and Libby Akers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Murray Feinman. Lenny’s family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 1:00 PM until Lenny’s 2:00 PM Memorial Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. with a reception to follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
