Obituary of Madeline Rose Verduyn
Madeline Rose Verduyn, 84, of Hampton Twp., our hard-working and strong mother, grandma, “GG,” sister, and aunt was born into eternal life on the morning of Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Madeline was born in Owendale on April 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Norman and Susan (Ludwig) Adams. While at a dance in Unionville, she met Louis G. Verduyn. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 2, 1954. Sadly, Louis preceded Madeline in death on October 7, 1999. Throughout life, Madeline was known for her love of the Detroit Tigers and tending to her flowers and garden. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church and a member of the Local 362 retirees group. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children: Pamela Wright, Debra (Joseph) Plucinski, and Carolyn (Anthony) Streeter; grandchildren, Matthew Wright, David Wright, Jeremy Wright (Christina Hinojos), Brian Wright, Brenda Wright, Jason Streeter, Jennifer Ensing (fiancée James Winters), Joshua Streeter (fiancée Amanda Wolicki), and Michael Plucinski. Madeline was the loving “GG” of Carlee Wright, Amarah Vanderpool, Trinity Ensing, Katelyn Ensing, Aubriella Vanderpool, Tyler Winters, and the beloved sister of Betty Wagner, Delores McAlpine, Alice (Marvin) Trost, and Sharon Diebel. Also surviving are many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Madeline was welcomed home to heaven by her infant sister and brothers-in-law, Elmer Wagner, Harold McAlpine, and Jerry Diebel. Madeline’s family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of Madeline’s 11:00 AM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. A tribute reception will follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s, with the Rite of Committal to be held in St. Patrick Cemetery.
