Obituary of Christopher Michael Ulrey
Christopher Michael Ulrey, 45, of Essexville, our loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 28, 2017. Chris was born in Saginaw on May 31, 1972, the son of Robert and Diane (Dollhopf) Ulrey. He graduated from Swan Valley High School and proudly served our country with the U.S. Marines. Chris was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Cory Jo Levline on October 3, 2009. Sadly, Cory Jo preceded him in death on March 22, 2016. Those who knew Chris knew he was committed to his job as the kitchen manager of Castaway’s and will always remember him for his love of University of Michigan sports, animals (especially dogs), and most of all, spending time, watching movies, and being the best friend to his daughter, Alexia who survives along with Christopher’s parents, Bob and Diane, Heather Dodge, the mother of Alexia; sister, Jackie (Chuck) Princinsky; brother, Randy (Samantha) Ulrey; in-laws, Jim and Connie Levline; dogs, Chewy and Bailey; cat, Buddy, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In addition to his wife, Chris was welcomed home to heaven by his grandparents, Vern and Ann Dollhopf and Jack and Geraldine Ulrey. A Life Celebration will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Castaway’s, 3940 Boy Scout Rd., Bay City, MI 48706, officiated by Chris’ uncle, James Rathbun, Sr. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
