Obituary of James Howard Trapp
James Howard Trapp, 60, of Bay City, passed away peacefully on the evening of Saturday, April 15, 2017. Jim was born in Bay City on January 15, 1957, the son of Gerald H. and Shirley (Bauml) Trapp. During high school, he caught the eye of the former Lori A. Cichocki. They eventually dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on September 18, 1976. Jim graduated with the Class of 1975 from Bay City Central. He later obtained his Associate Degree from Delta College, studying HVAC. For 27 years, Jim was a faithful employee of Sears and held numerous management positions within the automotive industry. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish (St. Stanislaus Kostka Church) and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping (especially at Rifle River State Park), spending time with his grandchildren, along with reading, fixing cars, and helping anyone in need. His helpful, generous, and quiet ways, along with his sincere hugs will never be forgotten. In addition to Lori, Jim leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kristina (Thomas) Brasseur and their children, Anna and Isabelle; Staci (Grant) Hugo and their children, Camden, Laini, and Ethan; Brandon (Gina) Trapp and their son, Aleczander; mother, Shirley Trapp; siblings, David (Donna) Trapp, Lynne (Fritz) Fridley, Michael (Nietta) Trapp, Amy Trapp, Joseph (Jody) Trapp, along with many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Jim was welcomed home to heaven by his father, Gerald and his sister, Jeanne Trapp. Jim’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
