Mary Soto Davila was born in Saginaw on September 25, 1944. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at age 19. She went gracefully to be with Him on May 20, 2018, surrounded by her family. We know we will see her again someday. Mary committed her life to being the wife of David Davila for 53 years. She was the mother of 5 children. Virginia Davila of Saginaw, Rachel Davies (Daniel) of Midland, Dolores Ortega (Jose) of Bay City, Marcos Davila (Lynne) of Pinconning, Sara Lynnette Davila of Bay City. She was grandma to 12 grandchildren - Valerie and Benjamin Madrid, Andrea and David Ortega, Jamie Mayhew (Lance) and Timothy Davies, Darby, Devin, Marcus, and Luke Davila, Steven Woods, and Alekzander Davila. She was blessed with 2 great grandchildren - Isaiah Davila and Sophia Madrid. Mary is also survived by her sister, Victorianna Gonzalez of Saginaw, Lucia Enriquez of California and several nieces and nephews. Mary was blessed with a sewing talent that extended around the world. She created dresses for little girls that were sent by For Loving Hands Ministry to Costa Rica and Haiti and sewed lap blankets for the elderly. These are just a couple of the ministries she serviced. The family would like to express their gratitude to American Home and Hospice of Saginaw for the care and support they extended to our family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss being greeted with a hug, kiss and being told "I love you". We will also miss the Mexican rice at every family get-together. Mary’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the time of her 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Reverend James Englehart will officiate with interment to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to wishes of the family.
