Edward James Brink, 67, of Akron Twp., our hardworking and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 21, 2017, with his family by his side. Ed was born in Bay City on August 13, 1950, the son of James and Dorothy (Stephens) Brink. Ed graduated high school and went on to work at Saginaw Steering Geer for over 30 years, retiring in January 1999. On October 6, 1973, Ed married the love of his life, the former Linda R. Fox. Together they shared over 40 wonderful years, two amazing children, and countless memories. Ed loved to fish, he went every year with his family to Canada for the annual walleye fishing trip. His favorite pastime was tending to his four Haflinger horses, Merlin, C.J., Cassidy, and Mickey; everyday he would hook them up to the wagon he built and take them around town. Ed was also known for his generous heart, helping the local farmers during harvest season. Ed leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Linda; their two children, Steven & Beth Brink of Fairgrove and Rebecca & Richard Waas of Moore, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Deven Brink; his mother, Dorothy Brink of Akron; brothers, Roger & Renee Brink of Akron and Jeff & Susie Brink of Fairgrove; sister, Patricia & Jim Issitt of Gladwin; sister-in-law, Jill Brink of Fairgrove; special nephew, Brody Atkari and his children, Mya and Mathew Atkari; step-grandsons, Kyle (Whitney Guthrie) Waas and Derek & Alynn Waas; step-great-grandson, Soren Waas, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
