Obituary of Jessie Marie Smith
Jessie Marie Smith, 11, of Essexville, our very busy, most loving, silly, happy, and now our beloved guardian angel was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Jessie was born in Kent County on December 19, 2005, the daughter of Lisa Smith (fiancée, Robbie Tunney III) and Dennis Walters. She was a 4th grader at Verellen Elementary, where she stayed very busy socializing with her friends. A lover of sports, Jessie was known for her love of basketball, baseball, and wiffle ball. She enjoyed music, watching DVD's, playing Wii games, and spending time with her dogs, Bella, Chevy, Diamond, and Pearl. Jessie's personality was larger than life itself and she was always putting a smile on the faces of those around her. Jessie leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Lisa Smith and her fiancée, Robbie Tunney III; father, Dennis Walters; grandparents, Carl and Charlotte Smith; special grandma, Sharon Tunney; sister, Kristen (Josh) Fortine and their children, Kenyon, Gauge, and Finley; aunts and uncles, Tony Smith (Terri Ciaciuch), and their family, Halie (James) Jordan (their children, Jayden and Laylah), Bailey and Matt, Barry Smith, Brittany Levy; Patrick Smith (Lisa Short) and daughters, Shaena Smith and Chelsea Smith; Chelsea's son, Landyn; Lori (Gary) Pfund; Shannon "Aunt Nana" Smith and her children, Jaide and Miley; Doug Walters; Terri Michalak; Cathy (Dale) Senn, Ken (Izzy) Kieper; dear aunt, Ann Prime; special boyfriend, Tommy Burke; devoted aide, Abree Esckilsen; wonderful neighbor, Miss Val Jacobs, along with many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends at Verellen Elementary. Jessie was welcomed home to heaven by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Lois Walters, and uncle, Bryan Walters. Jessie's family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Jessie at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Thursday, November 2, 2017, Jessie will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville, where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of Jessie's 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
