Obituary of Ray Clarence Stack
Ray Clarence Stack, 74, of Bay City, our determined, motivated, and meticulous father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at his home. Ray was born in Saginaw on May 7, 1943, the son of the late Clarence Bernard “Barney” and Eursel (Johnson) Stack. Always staying busy, Ray was known as an early riser who was always on the go. In addition to retiring from General Motors, Ray owned a lawn care, welding, and two limousine businesses. He inherited his father’s construction skills and enjoyed building projects of all sorts. An avid car enthusiast and builder of over 90 dune buggies through the years, many may remember Ray for his love of cars, most recently his 1938 Oldsmobile. Ray was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed listening to the messages of Joel Osteen. Ray leaves to cherish his memory, his four children: Shelli (Tom) Nellett, Jeff Stack, Jason (Jaime) Stack, and Gregory Stack; grandchildren, Taylor Nellett (fiancé, Josh Rappuhn), Nick Nellett, Kellyn and Rylan Stack; sister, Roseanne (Abe) Roth; niece, Michelle Stack, and nephews, Donn and Brett Stack. In addition to his parents, Ray was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Don Stack. Ray's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 4:00 PM until Ray's 7:00 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
