Obituary of Carol Ann Pero
Carol Ann Pero, 74, of Essexville, our kind hearted and nurturing wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on the evening of Thursday, May 11, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Carol was born in Bay City on November 23, 1942, the daughter of the late William L. Wiedyk, Sr. and Lillian Stella (Debo) Wiedyk. While riding her bicycle, she happened to catch the eye of the neighbor boy, Lawrence "Larry" Pero. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 4, 1960. Their marriage was blessed with two children and countless memories. Carol loved watching her soap operas, especially Days of our Lives. Regardless if she needed anything or not, Carol was known for always frequenting garage sales, thrift shops, and the dollar store. Above all, Carol was devoted to her family and loved them with all her heart. She leaves to carry on her legacy, Larry and their children: Debbie (Aaron) Kernstock and Rickey Pero. She was the unconditional loving grandma of Brianna, Joshua, and the great-grandma of Dillon. Carol is also survived by her brothers, William L. (Bonnie) Wiedyk, Jr. and James (Marge) Wiedyk. Carol always had a spot in her heart for animals and will be deeply missed by her cat, Kaitlyn. In addition to her parents, Carol was welcomed home to heaven by her in-laws, Jerry Pero and Kathleen Blossey, along with her cat, Chrissy. Carol's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 4:00 PM until the time of her 6:00 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
