Obituary of Carl Schick II

Carl Ray Schick II, 49, of Saginaw, our smart and loving, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away on February 7, 2017 at his home. Carl was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 24, 1967, the son of Carl Schick and Shirley (Sisco) Metiva. He attended Arthur Hill High School and later went on to the Army Reserves in 1985. Carl enjoyed playing his guitar, spending time with his dogs, and woodworking. His favorite past time was reminiscing with friends and family, even if he was the only one talking. Carl will be deeply missed. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Carl (Marcia) Schick and Shirley (Howard) Metiva; daughter, Johnna Faughnan; siblings, Sarah Jane (Randy) Willette, Tony (Theresa) Schick, Sherri (Jeremy) Moran, Zane Metiva, and Jenae Metiva; step-siblings, Tracy Boudrie, Jim Miller, Jeanette Miller, Jack Miller, and Chris (Blair) Long; aunts, Karleen Latty, Nadine VanSickle, Cheryl (John) Ehlert, Beverly (Gilbert) Summerlin, Barbara (Fred) Coe, and Judy Sackrider; uncles, Bill (Sue) VanSickle, Clarence (Linda, who passed on February 9, 2017) VanSickle II, Dale (Pam) VanSickle, and Gary (Jill) VanSickle, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Carl was welcomed home to heaven by his son, Anthony “Tony” “Lil Tony” Reynolds, his grandparents, one aunt, and two uncles. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. A Memorial Ceremony will be held for Carl on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Saginaw Masonic Center, 2655 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. On Saturday, July 22, 2017, a Celebration of Life will take place in honor of Carl’s 50th birthday. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
