Obituary of Ruth Tulloh
Ruth L. Tulloh, 88, of Bay City, our strong-willed, kind, and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Friday, November 11, 2016 at Shannon's House. Ruth was born in Ferndale, Michigan on August 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Jay and Belma (Manor) Livingston. She attended St. John's School and was united in marriage to Donald E. Figley in 1948. She was later united in marriage to William Tulloh. Known for her excellent cooking skills, Ruth enjoyed her 35+ years cooking for the Essexville-Hampton Schools, Bay Medical Care Facility, and Western High School. She loved baking, decorating cakes, and in her free time her love of cooking carried over into her love of catering. Ruth also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and as time went on, oil painting became one of her favorite pastimes. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three daughters, Diane (Ralph) Curphy, Rena (Gerald) Bowker, Frances Vitalis; son, Donald (Cari) Figley; two step-daughters, Jodi Pouliot and Lori Tulloh, along with several grand and great-great grandchildren. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her siblings, Elaine Livingston, May Coates, Belma VanSumeren, Shirley Woods, Edwin Schultz, along with many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and both husbands, Ruth was welcomed home to heaven by her infant son; step-daughter, Angela Cantrell; granddaughter, Janet Ruth Underwood, and brothers, Archie and John Livingston. Ruth's family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of her 11:00 AM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. A Celebration of Life Reception will immediately follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski's, with private interment to be held in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. The entire family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Shannon's House for their compassionate care during the nearly nine years Ruth was a resident.
