Obituary of Robert Humpert

Robert F. Humpert, 79, of Fairgrove, our kind, adventurous, witty, determined, and most generous and loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, November 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Bob was born in Saginaw on April 28, 1937, the son of the late Alvin and Bernice (Sheppard) Humpert. He was raised in the Reese area, graduating from Reese High School in 1955 where he was active in FFA and sports. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Noreetta Beyer in St. Elizabeth Church, who survives. Bob was a lifelong farmer in Tuscola and surrounding counties as co-partner in R & R Farms with his son, Randy who survives him, along with his wife, Judy and their children: Jamie and Kellie of Fairgrove. His memory will also live on in the hearts of his two daughters, Karen and Andrew Hooper, and their children: Christopher and Kati of Troy, and Ann and Curtis Waterhouse, and their children: Chelsea, Kimberly (Hunt), and Nicolas Waterhouse of Hudson, WI. Bob was the proud great-grandpa of Aria Ann. In addition to his parents, Bob was welcomed home to heaven by his infant brother, Donald, and brother, John T. Humpert. Throughout life, Bob was known for his love of snowmobiling. He was always the first one on the ice at the lake with his sled. He also enjoyed trike rides and spending time with extended family and friends at Mack Lake, where he loved participating in his annual pig roast. Bob was Past President of Ogemaw Hills Snowmobile Club of West Branch, where he was known as the "wood master" for the snowmobile shelter. He currently held the position of "Sergeant at Arms" and was also a GWRRA Chapter Y member. Faith and family always came first with Bob. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and his pride and joy. He was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), and will forever be remembered for his passion for living life to the fullest and making the most of each and every day. Bob's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Bob at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
