Mark Edward Hugo, 59, of Hampton Twp., our hard-working, helpful, loving, and generous husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Mark was born in Bay City on November 2, 1957, the son of Charles H. and Mildred (Corrion) Hugo. Growing up, Mark was known for his love of pheasant hunting with his brothers and helping on the family farm. Mark graduated from Garber High School with the Class of 1975. While at the Center Road Restaurant, Mark met the former Cheryl “Cheri” Edmonds. They dated, fell in love, and were married on June 21, 2001. Those who knew Mark will forever remember him for his love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, his corvette, and the occasional beer. His greatest joy in life was working with his boys and passing his carpentry skills onto them. Mark was a member of the Bridgeport Gun Club and Norway Hunt Club. His generosity and love for his family and friends will live on for generations to come. Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Cheri; his children and their families, Matthew Hugo and his children, Caleb Hugo and Gavin Badour; Jeremy (Diana) Hugo and their son, Jamison Hugo, Andrew (Stacy) Hugo, and their children, Jacob Hugo, Jazmine Hugo, and Raelyn Hugo, Mark (Jessica) Hugo, and their children, Austin, Logan, and Easton Hugo, Calvin (Kaitlyn) Hugo and their daughter, Jacey, and Michael (Sabrina) Kohlhoff and their children, Isabelle and Alexander; loving mother, Mildred Hugo; siblings, Lester (Noraine) Hugo, Diane (Howard) Ritter, Gary (Theresa) Hugo, Alan (Liz) Hugo, Carolyn (Mike) Derocher, Paul (Karen) Hugo, Theresa (John) Sauve, Annette (Duane) McTaggart, Brenda (Barry) Kenniston, Bryan (Michele) Hugo, and Melissa Hugo; brother-in-law, Steve Revard; mother-in-law, Candace Kaiser, along with many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Mark was welcomed home to heaven by his father, Charles; brothers, Francis (Alice) Hugo and Roger Hugo; sister, Charlene Revard; father-in-law, Robert Edmonds, and the mother of his children, Cynthia Rydel. Mark’s family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until the time of Mark’s 6:00 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
